Just bought some books from Verso Books. This is a good excerpt from one, “Feminism for the 99%” on the need to move away from Liberal Feminism.

OK. This is just crazy. I am blocked from Twitter unless I remove this tweet, which someone reported as Hate Speech. I am OBVIOUSLY supporting Transgender people against the arguement that they are mentally ill. This is not hateful in the least and is in fact supportive of Transgender people. I appealed the issue. Let’s see what happens.

I was thinking about the issue over Elon Musk and co.’s views about “free speech,” and the problems and limits of rational logical discourse/debate in general, and it reminded me of Hungarian political theorist István Mészáros’ critique of Jürgen Habermas in his book “The Power of Ideology,” I had read some years ago. I tried to find the specific quotes, but it’s laid out through the whole of his book, so I had Chat GPT do a summary of his critique. I think it’s a decent job
