Anyone not getting agreed emails from mastodon ppl for password reset?
I’m seeing people posting pictures of themselves as AI versions of paintings and fantasy scenes and films and although the creative photographer in me loves it I would be mindful that you are handing over your face to unregulated new tech to form the basis of better recognition software, survelience tech and forming parts of how your likeness can form into other people’s creations. I don’t want to tell you what’s right or wrong, but I think it is worth knowing what your feeding your face into.
Hi all - help appreciated please. Having real issues with using mastodon - would like to delete account permanently but forgot password - can anyone advise?
To any followers, thanks for the company and your posts but I’ve found it a functionally poor platform and not worth investing time in using. Hope 2023 is a better year for you all. 👋

I'm going to hazard a guess that many of those who are triggered by @[email protected] dancing to N-Trance would have no issue if she were riding horseback with a pack of hounds, terrorising a defenceless fox. British snobbery at its finest. It's an absolute tune too! https://twitter.com/AngelaRayner/status/1598966575566036992

@Nils I do think a better UI helps a lot. Pinafore.social is good. And Cuckoo.social is just like G+, and has a much better treatment of comments.

The reality of Brexit is biting hard. Poor people are suffering most – and now everyone can see it

We are paying £6bn more just to eat. After years of abstract debate, the human consequences of our exit become clearer by the day, says Guardian columnist Jonathan Freedland

One thing I really like about Mastodon is that GB News presenters do not randomly pop up on my TL dog whistling about asylum seekers or random transphobia. The need to platform those with the intellectual heft of amoeba is mind boggling & I’m relieved not to be party to it. Long may it continue 🥂
