My mom passed this morning after a short aggressive battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. We were blessed to have so many compassionate caregivers in the hospital and to be with family. We were able to make sure she was never alone through it. Played music, told stories, watched a movie, looked at photos. Peaceful travels mama.

One of my goals for 2023 is to digitize my significant collection of old family #photos that are in albums and boxes: #sepia #blackandwhite and #color prints. I have a 5+ year old flatbed scanner and a MacBook with a USB connection. An extended family member’s husband died. He had a #Tesla. After we angl. With the loan and title issues she was finally ready to sell the car to a dealership she had been working with. Now because of #ElonsFailure the dealership pulled out of the deal and even Carmax won’t take it. So now a retired widow is stuck insuring and registering a car she doesn’t want because of the #muskmeltdown
College student home for 9 days of winter break. Last time they were home was mid-June for a weekend, so of course they have #covid and are now isolated in their bedroom. We were supposed to go see my mom who has #cancer and is not likely to live much longer in 2 days. COVID has made planning life events completely impossible. And of course there is no refund on the #airbnb.
