Tomorrow catch me on the webseries āTalking Politicsā which is affiliated with Univ. of Chicago and UC Boulder to talk about how the military is a queer institute š«Ø.
Iāll be drawing on linguistic anthropology frameworks to discuss how perceptions about the military are in constant contestation and demonstrating how through these frameworks we can examine these political arguments across different modalities that regulate who serves.

Last weekend was a great weekend for a family bike ride!
Our baby Shiba, Maki, turned two today and so Maki got a birthday cake to celebrate with their sibling/lover and their dadsssss @dogsofmastodon #shibainu

Today we enjoyed the 65Ā° weather in DC - bike ride with our shiba-babies and drinks at the Brigg (our neighborhood bar). The shibas get to eat bacon while their dads sip on hot toddies š
Idk how the guys in the van could not understand they were in a bike lane. They were then blocked by the uhaul and couldnāt get out. And then the person in the mobility scooter had to go around and onto the road.
