Bonus pic of Sophie when she was just a puppy because she was fucking adorable.
Had to swap to my .world account for this one.
First up is Sophie. We should have named her Jealous, because she is the biggest attention whore I have ever met. She looooves toys, and will take them with her where ever she goes. She’ll even fall asleep with toys in her mouth.
And this is Sophie’s older sister, Vega. Vega likes sleeping where it’s warm, like under the covers or in between someone’s legs. She is also very protective of her little sister.
Forrest Valkai. He’s a biologist who makes a mixture of educational content, videos debunking creationist claims (in an educational way rather than the “look at this fucking idiot” approach that much of atheist youtube seems to take), and just some silly fun in-between.
He doesn’t have the insanely high production value of other channels named here, but he’s the most wholesome person I’ve ever seen. His love for life and science radiates off of him and watching him excitedly explain how cool something is genuinely makes me happy in such a depressing and pessimistic world.
You people are nuts lol. I don’t like Epic either, but if you think buying a $60 game is somehow less work than just claiming a free game, you’re delusional. $60 is at least several hours worth of money for the vast majority of us, whereas a miniscule amount of hard drive space and a one-time affair of setting up an account is a non-issue. Especially if you use a password manager (as you should), then you don’t even need to remember the password.
There are plenty of reasons to hate Epic, stop making up bad ones.
The other comments explain it well, but if you’re still confused, the easiest way to understand it imo is to just think about it like emails. Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, Proton, these are all completely different websites, but they serve the same purpose and can interact with each other regardless. You don’t need a Gmail account in order to send your friend on Gmail an email. On the other hand, you can’t sign into Gmail with your Yahoo account.
Which one you sign up for is usually down to personal preference regarding their rules and website design, though this isn’t always the only reason to pick. If Google one day comes out as being run by Nazis, some email providers might choose to “defederate” Gmail, essentially blocking the ability to receive emails from them. If you don’t wish to receive emails from Nazis, it’s probably a good idea to pick one of them over one that doesn’t block Gmail.
Just imagine that but for a website like Reddit and you’ve got Lemmy.
I got to step 20, where my password suddenly caught on fire and Paul died.
My day is ruined.
