The Paper Mind: Mitsubishi Bank Paper Notebook — Nathan King

The Paper Mind Mitsubishi Bank Paper notebooks may look plain, but they offer one of the most refined writing experiences in the world.

@penaddict Your discussion of Mitsubishi Bank Paper compelled me to try it. I ordered from The Paper Mind, of course. I‘m not sure why this paper is so divisive. It has a slight texture, but it isn't objectionable like some G. Lalo papers et. al. It holds ink well, is dense with zero ghosting, doesn't feather, and gives a true line width. In short, it's great!
What do I do after listening to an episode of @atpfm where John and Marco talk about how bad of an idea getting a Pro Display XDR is in 2025? I have no regrets. It's still a remarkable display.
@penaddict I knew when I got into this hobby that it would eventually happen, but why did it have to be a Sailor 21K nib?
#askatp Why isn't Apple taking advantage of its main competitive differentiator in the AI space? Apple is the only company I will allow to have my personal data. Why don't Siri Suggestions in Messages sound like I wrote them? Why can't I receive personal insights into how I can improve the efficiency of my schedule? In short, why isn't Apple Intelligence helping me become a happier, more productive person when all of the requisite technological framework exists?
@atpfm @marcoarment Yes, larger watches seem to be in style these days; however, those of us with small wrists are close to being pushed out of the market. This is a comparison between a 36mm watch and the 42mm Series 10 Apple Watch. It’s on the verge of going over the edge of my wrist. The thickness reduction is the only thing saving me at this point. I hope they don't continue to go larger.
@overcastfm Hey Marco! I thought the rewrite was nice, but I didn't realize what I was missing until you added the swipe gestures. It allowed you to remove the oddly placed information icon and avoided the issue where the show notes would briefly move faster than the progress bar shifted down. I love this app!
@imyke Well said! Art speaks to the infinite depths of the human experience, the endless color palette of our emotions, our greatest fears, and our inexhaustible aspirations. Art communicates an idea. The creation of art is often a long journey of self-reflection. Art is as much a cathartic learning experience for the artist as it is an intellectual journey for the viewer. Using AI, our ability to learn and grow from the experience has been taken from us.
@siracusa There are some things money can’t buy. For everything else, there’s Mastercard.
@atpfm I wish I would’ve broken my ankle AFTER watchOS 11 is released. The last thing I need after an injury is my watch implying that I am becoming lazy. 🤣
