Rebel Moon: Part Two - The Scargiver
Part Two dazzles with stunning visuals and captivating slo-mo fight scenes. However, the story's coherence suffers, as it remains fixated on the small farm village setting. The inexplicable significance attributed to a primitive farming community for the Imperium's food supply strains credibility. Ultimately, the storyline feels clumsily executed, leaving little desire for Part Three.
Fallout (Season 1)
The Fallout TV series, inspired by the video games, captivates even non-players like me. Its superb world-building and talented cast immerse you in a post-apocalyptic universe reminiscent of Terminator, Silo, and Mad Max. After watching, I'm eager to delve into the games. With such a strong debut, a second season feels inevitable.
ST: Discovery (S5E1+2) - Red Directive / Under the Twin Moons
Despite wanting to enjoy it, there are noticeable drawbacks. The over-the-top acting of characters like Burnham and Stamets is cringe-inducing, and some action sequences stretch believability, such as Burnham being catapulted into the bridge through the front screen.
On the positive side: Cronenberg's return is a welcome sight, Saru remains a favorite character, and the visual effects are impressive.
3 Body Problem (Season 1)
Netflix's '3 Body Problem' offers a streamlined adaptation that efficiently condenses the source material. With adept editing, it covers Book 1 and parts of Book 2 in just 8 episodes. A pleasant surprise, delivering the essentials while trimming unnecessary elements.
Overall, quite excellent!

In its sophomore outing, 'Halo' seems to have found its footing after a somewhat uneven first season. Season 2 demonstrates a clearer direction and purpose. The introduction of The Flood adds an exciting layer to the series.

Greenland (2020)
Clips from this movie kept popping up in my YouTube feed until I finally relented and watched it. I actually enjoyed watching it!
It emphasized two key points: Firstly, the rationale behind establishing a human colony on Mars became obvious. Secondly, the necessity of having a well-defined plan in the face of any major disaster was underscored.
Aniara (2018)
Set against a backdrop that feels reminiscent of a mall, 'Aniara' delivers a harrowing experience with plenty of screaming, nudity, and techno music. Despite its low-budget indie origins, the film boasts intriguing sci-fi elements throughout. The ending leaves a lasting impression.
