Watching ESPN 8 (yes, it's a real thing) for background noise, and there's an international foosball tournament on air.
I'm fascinated by how genuinely serious everyone is about it. Even the announcer claimed that "foosball is often called rolling chess" which is a claim that exceeds credibility.
I guess the takeaway is that I'm watching people with more gravitas towards the game everyone got bored of at the University Center than most people I know have about anything. I don't get it, yet I can't help but admire the passion around it.
