Took advantage of blue skies and headed to the #allotment today. It felt so good to be outside.

I took my plot on earlier this year and it was a mess, so I'm still clearing the space.

Today's jobs: clearing a blocked drainage ditch (oddly satisfying to see the water running away once I'd finished) and hacking back overgrown Buddleias. Still a lot to remove before I can replant with native hedging.

A new chapter in indecision …

The garden was looking a mess, but add a touch of snow and it looks rather wonderful. Even the half-pruned bay tree with the interesting haircut looks lovely.

That's what I call low maintenance gardening 😂

One of the best things about being self-employed is having the option to take advantage of a blue-sky day and get outside. Lovely 😍
