They'll never acknowledge the human cost to capitalism, especially when it's their own people.

The dip in fertility rate isn’t some mysterious process we don’t understand. It’s a direct reflection of our own desire to reproduce against government interdiction in those desires. I.E. the less acceptable the government makes life, the more people will resist by not reproducing. This ‘smells’ of an evolutionary tactic to collapse failing tribes or communities rather than let them go completely extinct. A line from Kurt Vonnegut’s, ‘Cat’s Cradle’, comes to mind: “I recalled a thing I had read about the aboriginal Tasmanians, habitually naked persons who, when encountered by white men in the seventeenth century, were strangers to agriculture, animal husbandry, architecture of any sort, and possibly even fire. They were so contemptible in the eyes of white men, by reason of their ignorance, that they were hunted for sport by the first settlers, who were convicts from England. And the aborigines found life so unattractive that they gave up reproducing.” The boomers showed up, realized they were the biggest group in the room, and took over everything. Then they made sure no generation could succeed them. Now they’re looking like Ozymandias with Rump in office and it’s all crashing down. They’re actively engaged in and expressed desire in increased levels personal surveillance. With AI on the rise we can’t be too careful. Don’t make it too easy to find posts by you containing their names, or allusions to them. In a few years, posts like these could be considered illegal - even retroactively like the Nazis did! I work in IT, specifically education. I know how easy it can be to passively and actively monitor thousands of people with one station. It’s probably already too late for us, but we can try. Use metaphor, don’t use the direct spelling, don’t make your intentions completely clear.

Capitalism is the literal exploitation of humanism

You can see where one ends and the other begins if you look with the right eye. Taking what people would be doing anyways and forcing them to do it for your own gain. With that framing, you can see how serfdom, and slavery all become progenitors to modern day capitalism. It’s evolved with the times and always found a way in. I can’t believe I didn’t see it before.

It’s losing them money. We’re encouraging those who don’t change to fail organically. It’s like getting away with murder because we’re at war.

It’s their 7th launch and they’re still fighting issues with keeping the fuel where it should be. Elon has successfully created a machine that can kill any number of astronauts in sub-orbit and land to do it all over again. How is anyone not getting this? I’ll never forgive him for taking back intellect on space travel to the 1950’s .

The easiest way to defeat AI would be to take it literally.

When that AI shopping tool made to sell you couponed products pops up, abuse it. Ask questions about its products that any real human would answer in a normal way, that an AI simply cannot. This would get it through to them we don’t really want or need this.

I think we’re at the part in Animal Farm where the windmill fell for the first time. https://youtu.be/uqH_Y1TupoQ?si=0t30EUUTIjtzoowh [https://youtu.be/uqH_Y1TupoQ?si=0t30EUUTIjtzoowh]
