@volpeon my mom insisted on getting a Samsung smart oven and it's literally useless. You can like... turn on the oven from afar (hope you didn't leave any old pots inside) and sync the clock manually. Does not automatically sync the clock when it loses power? Nope, but it does reconnect to wifi automatically!
According to all known laws of DNS, there is no way a fedi instance could be hosted on an .ARPA domain. Even if you get ahold of a domain like this, it should only be used for PTR records - right?
The instance, of course, federates anyway - because DNS doesn't care what humans think is impossible.
