Thinking about impl blocks in #rustlang today and how best to teach them. &self had looked sort of magical to me at first and it wasn't until much later that I noticed that it's just sugar for Type::method(&self), and that impl blocks for methods, associated types for traits and const all just do the same thing: they bolt on various stuff with Type::stuff. An example starting with the non-sugared syntax first could be a good way to drive that point home.

Easy Rust should be on MEAP in about a week! Right now the review for the first eight chapters is ongoing and I can now see it in the actual Manning book format. It's starting to feel very real.

As a non-slavic speaker, the quickest way to learn Ukrainian is to first improve my existing Bulgarian! That means lots of Readlang. (Plus South Slavic languages are just the cutest)
