@snazzyq do replies cross post as well?

For anyone who's come over to the #Fediverse from #Twitter: One of the first things I did when coming here was seek out a bunch of #journalists to follow, so my TL could mimic the "current events" feed. Here's a curated Google Sheet listing over a thousand journalists who've made accounts over here, who cover all sorts of things from cycling to sports to breaking news. Use it to help populate your #timeline, #share broadly for exposure.

@adhdmarie I think about how vital Twitter was during the protests in Minneapolis. We could track where confrontations were happening, connect medical help to those who needed it, organize and distribute resources… As much as people want to say “good riddance” to Twitter, a vital resource and community is being lost for so many.
Think about how Twitter gets used (or had been) for natural disasters or major news stories. Think Jan. 6th, BLM protests, hurricanes, or earthquakes. Imagine if there is a meltdown or explosion at the Zaporizhzhia power plant, but communication can’t get out or get to you because you’ve exceeded your #Twitter allowance for the day. Allowing centralized social media controlled by the highest bidder is a risk to everyone’s safety.
Rest in Peace, Sue Johanson. You impacted countless lives for the better. You provided honest, factual information to so many who desperately needed it. Before the internet, there was Sue Johanson’s radio and TV show.

Word of advice to Yevgeny Prigozhin: Stay away from open windows and tall buildings for a bit. Or, on second thought, don’t. You’re as big a war criminal as Putin, and neither person would be a big loss for humanity. #Russia
Spare a thought today for all those GOP senators and congressmen who are having to hastily redo their 4th of July plans because their first location fell through. #Russia
@atrupar I’m so sorry for your loss, Aaron. Take care of yourself and your family.
