Starting to see some friction between the Mastodon old schoolers and the incoming new blood, particularly over expectations of common practices and accessibility.

Let me follow another server's local. I don't want to have to make multiple accounts to follow multiple locals.

And don't give me that fediverse crap as an excuse not to. That fediverse is already mostly unusable, and it's going to get worse with time.

I can compromise though. Let me set a very specific and detailed filter on what shows up in my fediverse, like which locals I want to see in it.
