I’m a college professor immersed in #teaching and #ecology. I visit lots of places, combine observations and simple experiments, and look for generalities. I called this Geographical Ecology but it is now de facto #GlobalChangeBiology. I’m a slow but voracious #reader of #Books, mainly #Novels, #Biography, and #History, and an inexpert but avid practitioner of #gardening. I know more about the #Beatles than is healthy.

Any friends out there born red-green colorblind and have discovered polarized sunglasses? We drove the Blue Ridge Parkway all day, and I saw the forest in a completely new way: incredible depth and hue intensity. These “normal” images look washed out in comparison.
