I hope to destroy the stigma attached to #MentalHealth, fight to help those struggling with #Depression, and do all I can to end #Suicide.
Waste is disposable. You are neither a waste nor disposable. Depression will make you feel otherwise. It’ll have you believe that suicide is the only way for you to find salvation. It’s lying to you. It’s not concerned with what’s best for you. It only wants you to sacrifice yourself to it.
Depression is a door that is easily opened and walked through, but on the other side, it slams shut. It’s sealed tightly, securely locked, and diligently guarded from escape. Sometimes, a single welcoming and supportive knock on the door from someone on the outside can help you out of that room.

We all know how difficult and heartbreaking it is to lose a loved one, especially when in their final days they were struggling so strenuously to survive. Now imagine that “loved one” is yourself. You don’t want to die, but sadly, death seems like a more peaceful alternative to life. That’s suicide due to mental illness.
People who are suicidal due to mental illness don’t want to die. They’re looking for an escape from the pain they’re enduring internally, and in their minds, their death seems to be the only way to achieve it. Sadly, part of this is because of how we as a society handle those who are struggling mentally.

Have you ever considered a eulogy a life-saving tool? Well, try telling someone who’s struggling to survive suicidal ideation due to depression what you’d say about them at their funeral, and the results could surprise you.
It sounds like these crows are fighting. They’re probably married. One is yelling, and the other is vehemently denying all charges. I don’t know what he did, but he’s in big trouble. I just pray there won’t be a murder.
When helping those struggling with suicidal ideation due to mental illness, our goal shouldn’t be only to help them survive. That’s only half the battle. We also need to help them become healthy enough to live a happier, better life mentally, because that’s what they deserve.
