X (formerly Twitter)(5/7) Our approach is fast: axial deflection, shape and colour switching occur in less 5 μs! This allows a high duty cycle, dual-colour tracking in 3D and improved localisation performance.
(4/7) Our implementation is scalable: 4 paths on distinct SLM regions, each calibrated and aberration corrected, provide 2 wavelengths and up to 8 different beam shapes without updating the SLM.
(3/7) Particularly, when interfering the bottle (or tophat) beam with a Gaussian, the zero point moves axially alleviating the need for complex devices used in previous 3D MINFLUX systems.
(2/7) An SLM double-pass geometry patterns the two polarisation states of a single beam and lets them interfere. We control the amplitudes of the mixture via an EOM in the μs regime; Some measured examples:
