(7/7) A big thank-you to Alba, Francisco and the rest of the lab! After my initial poster presentation at SMLMS 2022 and my talk at FOM 2023 it turned out that there was still a long journey ahead; very happy with what we achieved as a team since then!💪

Finally, special thanks to our institute @IMPvienna, our lovely campus @viennabiocenter and our awesome training team @trainingvbc!

(6/7) We showcase 3D MINFLUX imaging and tracking acquired with this new technology. Check out the thread of Alba Gomez-Segalas, my co-author, on twitter/X https://twitter.com/svnddlsns99/status/1734254667868107067 for more details!

(1/6) I am super excited to share our first preprint on the design and implementation of a versatile axial scanner for 3D #MINFLUX, and the experiments that were made possible. https://t.co/Q3T6uRpPPN

(5/7) Our approach is fast: axial deflection, shape and colour switching occur in less 5 μs! This allows a high duty cycle, dual-colour tracking in 3D and improved localisation performance.
(4/7) Our implementation is scalable: 4 paths on distinct SLM regions, each calibrated and aberration corrected, provide 2 wavelengths and up to 8 different beam shapes without updating the SLM.
(3/7) Particularly, when interfering the bottle (or tophat) beam with a Gaussian, the zero point moves axially alleviating the need for complex devices used in previous 3D MINFLUX systems.
(2/7) An SLM double-pass geometry patterns the two polarisation states of a single beam and lets them interfere. We control the amplitudes of the mixture via an EOM in the μs regime; Some measured examples:
(1/7) Proud to announce the preprint presenting my work on a fast, robust and scaleable polarisation interferometer for 3D #MINFLUX featuring dual-colour multi-emitter tracking in 3D!
