Hello world!

It’s called activism.

You have to act. You can know everything and die if you don’t DO THINGS.

How do I know what’s being done?

Look around please.

Listen if I say something? I said wtf I said. I don’t talk reckless. I’m a Black woman posting under my real name. I get consequences for that.

I was THERE for the history you won’t acknowledge. Until you know how we kicked their ass the last time & improve on the strategy?

This same shit will just keep happening over and over.

Please don’t mow grass during a thunderstorm.
I’ve got Peaches stuck in my head. This is not a complaint, just a simple fact.
One of the really pernicious parts of the one-two punch of privatized, for-profit medicine and education is how much leverage it gives the snake-oil grifters of the world. It is just a lot easier to fight off the "doctors don't want you to know that this ointment for psoriasis in groundhogs is the cheap and easy way to cure COVID-19" nonsense when people aren't staring down the barrel of a choice between going to the ER or their kids going to college.
Alabama GOP Bill Would Make Some Miscarriages Murder

Under the Alabama bill, abortions would be charged as murder, with no exceptions for non-viable pregnancies

Rolling Stone

A quote I saw today on another social that will now live rent-free in my head forever:

"No one wants to work" is just "no one wants to date nice guys", but for employers.

@ablackcatstail and also there should be single-payer healthcare & a more robust public transportation system and alternatives to the car centric infrastructure we are currently stuck with.
I find it fascinating that as Republican controlled legislature after legislature is tumbling down a path of criminalizing healthcare, and the existence of LGBTQ people in different ways, when the Republicans in charge of the US House want to make senior citizens and disabled people pay for their tax cuts for billionaires and millionaires we still have people saying that Democrats are failing to sufficiently demonstrate the difference between them and Republicans for disgruntled voters.
The biggest mistake moderate Democrats are making is that they are governing to preserve institutional credibility while hoping that Trumpism will blow over, rather than preparing with grim fortitude for a society-wide confrontation with a fascist movement playing for keeps. /1
