A client went live on a new system + 60% of EEs werenât using it. Exec VP who okayâd the project couldnât understand why + was going to scrap it + go back to using the old system. I asked if he knew why reps werenât using the system. He had no idea. I suggested we start there.
If youâre not turning off old system, thereâs a chance EEs will go back to it out of habit. But they also go back bc they arenât ready to move on emotionally. Find out which it is 1st b4 ditching the new + wasting money.
Every leader I know/know of whoâs really good at leading, have said, having diversity on your teams is absolutely necessary.
Itâs only ordinary ppl who have never lead anything, or âleadersâ not worth their salt, who thinks DEI is bad.
No two company cultures will ever be exactly the same.
Even siblings, raised in the same home, will start their own families, each family having their own culture.
This is why when I hear leaders of merging companies say, "we share the same culture," I know it's not likely. Which means, at the very least, culture work will be necessary during your integration.
The supervisors/managers/directors and vps who were a part of creating your organizational problems cannot be the supervisors/managers/directors and vps who will fix your organizational problems.
Youâve probably heard, âWhat gets measured gets improved.â But itâs not enough to just measure it. Weâve got to report it, discuss it, and hang it on the walls so that others can see it, and then it exponentially improves.
