When your password leaks:
→ Change your password
→ Problem solved

When your biometric data leaks:
→ You can't change your face
→ You can't change your fingerprints
→ The compromise is permanent
→ Your biometric data is in breach databases forever

This is why facial recognition for age verification is dangerous.

@jaykuo growing up, my father had an axiom that he said came from his time in the Navy. "There is always that 10%....", said with a big sigh.
@georgetakei the song of this administration, "TACO, TACO man, I want to be a TACO man..." I feel bad disparaging a Village People song.
Tesla's board just paid Musk 30 billion to stay for two years. Whether Republican and dislike his attacks on Trump, or Democrat and dislike his attacks on the government. Now is the time to NOT buy a Tesla. The goal should be zero Tesla vehicles sold for the next two years.
@jaykuo I hope it holds too, but we are talking about the TACOman here. I'd be shocked if it lasts to the weekend.
Happy Friday! Hard day at the office, just sittin' in the lounger thinking of how to get those dastardly rabbits.
@Haste at work meetings are often AI transcribed. At the end of one meeting I said, "let me know if you have questions and thank you." Later found out it transcribed it as, "let me know if you have questions, and fuck you." Never let AI put words in your mouth. Especially with something as important as your health.
genuinely confused by the whole Corey Booker thing. He was filibustering nothing. Democrats need to literally block every bill until DOGE is dismantled, not display some performance art and then bend the knee when Trump demands.
@_elena @cwebber Another great reason to use Mastodon.

A PSA for people active on #Bluesky: your block list is PUBLIC information.

A website that tracks Bluesky stats – which I am not naming here on purpose – makes this job super easy: you can enter *any* username and see the accounts a user has blocked.

(Yes I tested it with my account and was horrified)

I'm alarmed by this because the information could be weaponized for abuse.

Muting may be the safer choice then?
