Today I had part of my toenail removed. I on purpose let someone stick giant needles full of novocain into the sides of my big toe and let her cut away parts of my nail. My foot was numb all morning. Now it stings like hell.

I own way too many books, way too many fountain pens, and way too much yarn.
I went to The Met on Friday, to see The Tudors exhibit. I wasn't aware this portrait was going to be there & gasped loudly when I went around the corner & saw it. I am a HUGE Tudor #History nerd & seeing all of this stuff, the paintings, the clothing, the books, all of it, just about made me cry with happiness.
Happy #DoctorWhoDay, fellow Whovians. This is the unusable-as-a-mug my mother gave me for Christmas a few years ago. I'm not a tchotchke collector per se, but once my mother finds out you like a thing, boy, does she run with it.
Eccleston was my first Doctor that I fell in love with. I remember Tom Baker and his long scarf but I never got into the show when I was small, mostly because it was on our PBS station on Saturday afternoons & I was always doing something else.
This was taken a couple of years ago in my garden, on a morning when the frost was intense.
Time for another #Cat photo. This is Harriet. She's cranky all the time. She will let you pet her 2.5 times and then she will claw your fingers off. Favourite activities include sleeeping, over-grooming, and puking up hairballs on my new carpet.
