The weirdest thing keeps happening. We've had severe storms for the past week & these limbs keep impaling in the ground like fence posts. Third one this week and the biggest yet.

It'd be perfect if our yard was infested with vampires!

Clearly, someone's trying to send us a message...

probably that we need a tree surgeon.

Here are the photos of the latest sunflower opening. This is the Mammoth, which was supposed to be as tall as 12 feet and have a single flower up to 12 inches. As it turned out, it's about 7 feet tall and has a maybe 8-inch flower, but I'm calling it a success. The bees love it!
Apparently something's in the air because Quite Quite Fantastic! has climbed to #22 in the UK in the Television Guides and Reviews category and #28 in TV References category.

I have to admit I'm disappointed that they killed off Sutekh...

I was looking forward to the release of his memoir in which he recounted five decades of observing the Doctor's adventures.

Oh, who am I kidding? We all know it would have been endless rants about how he's eventually going to kill the Doctor and destroy the universe... as soon as he gets off his lazy duff.

After last month's squirrel/chipmunk disaster, the pollinators garden is coming along nicely. The salvias and rudbeckias still need a bit of settling in, but the sunflowers are now coming along nicely. The tallest is over 30 in/75 cm.

The "purple" coneflowers were planted last fall and have a lovely soft red color with delicate pink undersides. I'm going to fill it in with pine straw later. This area used to be a hard rocky area with sandy soil. It's going to look a lot nicer soon.

Trump praised China for Tiananmen, previewing response to George Floyd protests

Trump in 1990 praised China for showing the "power of strength" via its notorious massacre of pro-democracy protesters in Tiananmen Square.

Remembering the brilliant Jon Pertwee on the date of his passing. So glad I got to meet him at my very first Doctor Who convention—WAY back in 1986.

Depends! Hypothetical?! Then stop being a slippery little weasel and give us a fucking scenario where it would apply! You don't just get to say it depends, it depends, it depends, when you haven't done your due diligence in convincingly stating hypotheticals where they would apply.

This is WAY TOO IMPORTANT to be based on the facile arguments of seedy, greasy lawyers who literally trying to open the door to autocracy by slipping their way through the cracks in our flawed Constitution!

It seems kind of weird to say this, because I'm not really a fan of zombie apocalypse stuff and I am a fan of Doctor Who and Star Trek, but I really hope The Last of Us "Long, Long Time" wins this, because it's easily the best thing on this list.
