Seven hours of Dune 1&2. Bought Dune 1 tickets by mistake, so my friend and I stuck around to see Dune 2 right after.
Still disappointed we don't get to see the prophetic slug-in-a-box Haven't read the books so I don't know if it's in there.
So now I have six books to read.
I'm retiring again.
Ending my career journey as the boss is the final tick in the list. After this, it's being my *own* boss.
Picking my hours and my work, for myself. Lots of great things coming--Going to be a fantastic summer!

It's raining outside. I'm in my favourite chair in my creation room, little dog/familiar snoring in his bed beside me, comfy lap desk, pot of tea, favourite mug, various ambient and dark academia playlists loaded into my bluetooth speaker, soft PJ pants, oversized Cozy hoodie, NO BRA, notebook full of notes, distraction free program....GO!
Do you ever write scenes that are so vivid in your head it's like an actual movie? I'm pretty good with visualizing but *this* book is just...It's beyond extra.
I mean I even know his suit is that shiny kind of rich navy blue and his shoes don't quite match and it's jarring. His shirt is a very pale almost white with a faint blush of pink. The tie is too dark a blue. But that's him. And that description isn't even in the book!
Hips do lie. Mine are breaking.
Heading butt first into retirement...Again!
Time to leave the kitchen to the young 'uns.
Of course you're anxious or depressed. The planet is burning and the billionaire fascists are tightening their control.
Fuck 'em.
Do something today to piss off a #fascist.
Spread love and kindness. Help someone who needs it more than you.
Bend and/or break norms and stereotypes.
Scream.
