@mw0ian I always wanted one for stringing up the odd piece of wire, and got this one Pre-loved, so a bit cheaper. I want to make the smart lock box at some point, but it has kept me on-air whilst my main OCFD is out of action.
FT8 on 60m for the first time, now I have an SGC Smartuner and a Random Long Wire as a temporary antenna. Some good contacts in the log, for a new band !
Busy #SARTG New Year Contest, with the aforementioned tactical antenna working well so far !

On the eve of the SARTG RTTY New Year contest, my 80m OCFD finally failed after 5 + years. It's been through storms, and hot summers and not missed a band opening.

I've used the long leg with my SGC Smartuner, to get me on-air, tactical-style ! FT8 on 80m currently seems to be working well.

One day in, 106 QSO in the log, which is double the number the last time I entered this contest ! Not bad for just a wire. US came booming in at 1400 yesterday, so waiting for that again today ! Just EU around this morning, but the score is ticking over nicely. All S+P, not getting much with Runs.

Taking part in the ARRL 10m contest today as M1V, conditions are great ! Not got the best antenna's for 10 but some good stations in the log.

Might have a go at CW later 🤣

Late start this year, but the 6m Yagi is up and the rotator cable is fixed. No Sp.E today, but ready to add some more grids.

Currently on 318 confirmed VUCC, aiming for 350 this season.

PCB order sent and after a few false starts, order approved. Look forward to 5 boards landing at my door in a week or two. I'd be amazed if they work first time, but was good have a go at PCB work again after all these years.

Then I need to populate, test and hopefully have my rotator, rotate via PSTRotator.

Trying to finish off some in-flight projects, so KiCad installed and have started laying out my final K3NG Rotator shield to automate a 1980's Emotator Rotator. Design worked well on the Breadboard last summer in 6m Season.

I haven't laid out a PCB or drawn a schematic since 1998 though, so this might take a while !

DX Patrol Up-Convertor Mk4 ordered, so let's await the delivery with some station prep. Will be using my FT-847 again !
