@pjf I can't say we're anywhere near self-sufficiency but when I harvest some tomatoes, peppers, courgettes or aubergines from our polycrub, I feel so uplifted. About rocket though, it is a triffid.of a plant although still eating...
@jbenjamint poor visitor to Annat watched us whizzing round with washing machine, dish washer, inverter charging and every conceivable battery on. Made up for the the 3 hours list during Storm Amy power cut when wind brought tree down on cable finally landing on Annat Lodge!
Ukraine has now got 64 Danish wind turbines to keep them supplied with electricity during the winter. Enough for 1m homes. They are much harder targets for drones, and if a Russian drone should take out one of them, there are 63 more - renewable energy is far more resilient in times of war, and extreme climate events.
