I fell in love with this shrub before I knew what it was, before I started my gardening journey. It was already part of the landscape when we moved into our house. It has prolific blooms towards the end of summer. I loved it so much I was determined to get more colors. I think I ended up with 3 more.

Then a few years in, I pulled all them back up save for the original. Because they were very invasive and saplings sprouted EVERYWHERE. Come to find out the original was a sterile version. The ones I bought were... not.

Rose of Sharon. Make sure it's sterile!
