@Soblow I think there's still value in using ships which are 'obsolete'

I'm still using my kraitMk2 even though its an 'old' ship without SCO, even though people say the corsair is the same thing but better

sure I'll probably get trounced by someone competent in a pythonmk2 or a kestrel, but I can still leave them licking their wounds after a clash

i'm not quite sure how it works out for things like the panther and the type11 though, since the type11 straight up generates more ore out of nowhere for surface mining, and the panther has the largest possible cargo hold, but it handles so horribly that I hate it

@Soblow i havent poked too extensively into it but iirc there are no unique capabilities provided by guardian equipment not afforded by preengineered modules/manual engineering other than the FSD booster and the shield reinforcements

the powerplant specifically is worse than an overcharged equivalent sized one and can't benefit from the thermal spread passive (only really relevant for combat and maybe if you crash into a white dwarf), and the armored one has higher integrity
