@doraii depends on a few factors
my desktop has some weighty software and games on it, so I have 1tb local storage and 10tb in a nas for stuff that doesn't need to be accessed particularly quickly

my laptop is more administrative/utilitarian and only has 256gb main disk but whenever I'm online im vpned into my home network and can eventually pull down stuff from the nas if the link allows, though that's usually slow enough that I try to preload whatever thing I'm working on

I expect that most people need even less storage if they are more reliant on cloud services for everything, but the OS itself these days, especially if you're rawdogging windows or something takes up too much space

@roxy another egregious example of forced issues like this is in coerthas where one storybeat tells you to beat up a newt thing in a cave, but it spawns on top of 2 fates that also involve a newt thing

the main story newt requires you to use an item on it to weaken it unless you vastly out level it, while the fates sync your level to ~5 lower than the enemy from the msq

@linkachus17 I wonder sometimes what the process of getting compensation for various bulbs claiming 10 year lifespan or whatnot looks like

presumably only to immediately get rejected for using the wrong kind of light fixture or something
