Women weren't allowed into Princeton's graduate astronomy program when Vera Rubin applied in 1948, so she attended Cornell instead.

Her groundbreaking work on galaxy rotation rates provided the first evidence for the existence of dark matter, a seminal breakthrough that led to the creation of a whole new field of astronomy.

Initially criticized for her theories, she was eventually awarded the National Medal of Science.

FB deleted my account because, ironies of Irony, I reposed a meme I had copied from a FB page.

As a rational human, of course I disagreed with FB's AI filter and requested a review.

After more than 30 days, this is the response I got...

"We can't review this decision because too much time has passed since your account was disabled."

No explanation, nothing. Just delete because they can’t be bothered.

I, for one, do not welcome our social media AI overlords.
