@sdskuld raids are nice, but the balance is really poor and their design of ToF CM really stung from the perspective of a niche support player.

Maybe I'll be back if Wing 8 looks promising!

I'll be letting it roll over. I don't even have the game installed anymore and neither does my partner.

@sdskuld I might be back! But, outlook is not good. I don't have any interest in spear on Thief and Anet haven't shown any indication that they care for balance and profession diversity in a way that aligns with what I enjoy in an MMO.

After recent releases, I am fully expecting Wing 8 to be a profession stacking nightmare that needs specific Mesmer utility. Again. 🤭

Bonus points for FFXIV. There is an RP scene. There is an ERP scene without people getting puritanically weird about stuff. There is well developed housing and so many side systems and a story I can actually feel invested in.

It isn't going to be for everyone and GW2 is still fantastic if you don't face my specific issues but I am at a point where I couldn't really care for mad profession/class diversity. I just want to be able to play what I like in the content I like.

The game has become "alt friendly" to the point where you are expect to have particular alts for certain fights and that isn't what I want from an MMO.

If Anet want something like that, they should make use of the elite spec system and balance things or even have a system like FFXIV where you can switch on one character. But... they don't.

So that, alongside having nothing else to do in GW2 and having a craving for proper healing and proper dungeons and proper raids means FFXIV!
