Why am I not playing Guild Wars 2?

I am fed up! The game is great, I really recommend it for so many people and you can get tonnes out of it.

But... there isn't much for me to do. Arenanet hasn't shown any interest in fixing the myriad of issues with Thief support, the new weapon isn't going to alleviate that and, frankly, the instanced content with SotO has sucked for me.

Both ToF (L)CM and The Lonely Tower CM heavily, heavily push character swapping and certain metas. I don't want that.

The game has become "alt friendly" to the point where you are expect to have particular alts for certain fights and that isn't what I want from an MMO.

If Anet want something like that, they should make use of the elite spec system and balance things or even have a system like FFXIV where you can switch on one character. But... they don't.

So that, alongside having nothing else to do in GW2 and having a craving for proper healing and proper dungeons and proper raids means FFXIV!

Bonus points for FFXIV. There is an RP scene. There is an ERP scene without people getting puritanically weird about stuff. There is well developed housing and so many side systems and a story I can actually feel invested in.

It isn't going to be for everyone and GW2 is still fantastic if you don't face my specific issues but I am at a point where I couldn't really care for mad profession/class diversity. I just want to be able to play what I like in the content I like.
