Good job iPadOS!
@caseyliss re: LED-based status thingy. Here's a similar thing I've done: we've got two garage doors, downstairs. At the top of the staircase I installed an ESP8266 board running ESPHome connected to two LEDs + 2 push buttons to see the status of the doors and control them. All neatly hidden and integrated with the existing dumb switches and working perfectly with Home Assistant.
@overcastfm hi Marco, since 2024.7 overcast stops after each episode, even though I don’t have that option enabled in the nitpicks settings. Anything I can do on my side or is it a bug?
Apparently some Turkish Airlines planes have Ethernet on each seat
@atpfm re: light switches which look always the same no matter the state: these are my Bticino Living Now switches: they always look flat no matter the state. They come in smart and non smart flavors, regular, three way, push buttons, inverters, yet they all look and work the same (plus you can choose your own color and material combination). Unfortunately I think they’re only sold here in Italy.
@atpfm re: Ethernet connector strength
I’m afraid @siracusa is underplaying the strength of the RJ45 connector: this access point at work has been hanging from its cable since it was installed in march 2022
Can you guess when I finally went back from the temporary 2.4 GHz wireless bridge to a new fiber? (The previous one was chewed and cut by a rat.)
