Google's @searchliaison is collecting and submitting low quality search result examples from @LilyRay to the appropriate team - here is what that looks like https://www.seroundtable.com/google-low-quality-problematic-search-results-collecting-36584.html

I'm excited to introduce you to Bio To Schema, a custom GPT I've developed to transform author bios into E-E-A-T optimized person schemas. This tool is designed to improve SEO by highlighting the expertise of subject matter experts.

The training material for this tool is by yours truly, Daniel K Cheung, @LilyRay and Jason Barnard. Just ask the GPT and it will link you to the sources.

Nice one by @MrDannyGoodwin about how SGE’s cited sources do not match any organic results ranking in the top 10 *98% of the time*

This is wild.

I mean, I guess it’s a nice #seo opportunity, but positions 11+ are - by definition - not the best results.

94% of Google SGE links are different from organic search results, study finds

SGE showed for 86.8% of the keywords in this analysis. Overall, SGE showed about 10 links per answer, but only about four unique links.

@benny There is no checklist. But there is @LilyRay who seems to know more about this & is able to explain the concepts better than anyone else I've seen.
@mrrraven idk how to private message but I’m [email protected] hope that works
@rustybrick @lizzi @LilyRay @searchliaison @johnmu Sorry for the confusion over this. Did more checking. We do indeed use it and have done so since last October. But it's a very light use. So we're leaving the page as is, but as I also said, we won't be confirming each search signal used by Discover. "If you want to be successful with Discover, which is part of Search, it makes sense to pay attention to the things that are helpful with Search."

Question for @dannysullivan @searchliaison @johnmu - would the December Link Spam Update potentially impact a site's performance in Discover? And same question for the Helpful Content Update?

And would one update be *more likely* to impact Discover performance? πŸ™πŸ½

Thanks!
