Like your board games with a mix of greed, humour, and existential dread? Fat Cats Inc. is an upcoming board game made by a very good friend of mine that is about making as much money as possible before the world inevitably ends.

I've played the prototype several times and can vouch it's legit very fun. It'll soon be launching on Kickstarter, and they could really use the support. Please give them a follow so you can find out more and consider backing this independent Aussie made game.

Is the Nullarbor "null and a bore"? No! But it's also not exactly action packed. You don't need to spend days on it We just hit the WA border after traveling the #Nullarbor in one day and checking out the #greataustralianbight. We've still got a few mostly empty hours of this section of WA to do but we're excited to be here. Next major stop: Esperance!

I've had an absolutely bananas year, both good and bad, but the good included being lucky enough to have my own mass released beer! Now if anyone feels inclined, they can vote for it in the GABS Hottest 100 Beers of 2022.

Vanlife challenges so far:

- Picked up the wrong amp solar panels for my power station and blew the DC input & MPPT... 😭 Ditz moment by me. The guys at Commodore Australia gave us a great deal on a replacement power station but between that and needing new panels it's just more money down the drain.

- The Delica is a a small van. So storage is always a struggle. Looking at doing a proper fitout build once we get to Perth. More cash but much needed for comfort and storage. Also thinking about getting swing away hitch storage: less impact on fuel economy than roof racks and means we won't go over the common 2.2m underground parking restriction. Might make us too long for some parking spots though, going to have to get the measuring tape out.

- Old, hot, diesel. Had some running hot issues. Mostly good now after fixing coolant leaks and patching some dodgy cabling on the radiator fan controller. Still can't hit high speeds during hill climbs.
Fuel economy is not good, we're getting 400-500ks and diesel is bloody pricey.
