Christmas tree is decorated. Lots of retro baubles, castoffs from parents who didn’t want naff 70s baubles any more. I love them. #ChristmasTree

Just been to buy our Christmas tree from the local garden centre. Thought we could carry it back as it’s only a quarter of a mile. Big mistake, it was much heavier than I thought and full of snow and ice so freezing. I need a little lie down and a truss. #ChristmasTree

Something to celebrate the end of term. Cheers to everyone and especially those who work in education. #endofterm

@rhipratchett I have just finished the Terry Pratchett biography, A Life With Footnotes, written by Rob Wilkins. It was a wonderful read and so infused with love for the man that the pages almost glow with it. I shed a tear at the end. #TerryPratchett

I’m busy doing lots of mundane jobs round the house but listening to Hogfather on Audible is making it much more enjoyable. The depth of comic writing is genius. I’m also reading Terry Pratchett’s biography at the moment and that’s a joy too. #discworld

I’ve put up our Nativity Sets. We have a new one this year which my husband bought back from Bethlehem. It shows the wall built by the Israeli government and has the wise men one side and the Holy Family the other. I find it incredibly poignant. #Advent
