Hi #pcode people. Must admit, the heat wave and some other things happening here had somehow managed to leave my python reading at the bottom end of my to do's. But am picking things up now. Because i needed some flavor to spice the reading, i surfed a bit and liked this gem about face detection. Way too advanced for me, but made me smile and enthusiastic, and maybe do this to you too.

This Wired article suggests two options for why the WannaCry ransomware trojan had a killswitch URL: the creators "wanted to rein it in", or to interfere with forensic analysis. But I've heard a third - to my mind, more plausible - option: WannaCry was work-for-hire, for a percentage of the proceeds. Asking around for an IRC client app for android, got two recommendations for Atomic IRC. Now I know there is no such thing as anonimity. Still, was a bit disappointed to see that Atomic requests Caller ID visibilty. Hmm, will have to think about that 😏

Jumped on the #pcode wagon a few days ago, to try and learn to code Python. So how is it going so far? Besides having done some introduction reading on Python (links via helpful toots see the hashtag), I am now stumbling around in Gitlab (found a very stocked wiki, thanks @Jules !) and on irc (got lost immediately 🙈 ). So more tutorials to watch and/or read 😄 .
Also changed accounts for this + installed another mobile app, so i am not restricted to web access. Now looking for an irc app
