I took this photo of a northern cardinal (Cardinalis cardinalis) one afternoon some time ago. I was actually focused on a different cardinal in the tree above but caught this on passing by.
Google has become everything it once pretended to disdain -- an arrogant, sleazy, control-freak monopolist.
Its latest anti-user, anti-competition move will shut down the alternative app marketplaces that Google used to show off as "we're not like Apple" evidence. https://thenewstack.io/f-droid-says-googles-android-developer-verification-plan-is-an-existential-threat-to-alternative-app-stores/
Ageless Linux: Software for humans of indeterminate age. We don't know how old you are. We don't want to know. We are legally required to ask. We won't.
Sigh.
New boss: “You’re good at writing notes.”
Me: “Thank you, it helps me to remember so I have been writing summaries for many years.”
New boss: “You should try CoPilot and see what it can do.”
Me: “Well I enjoy summarizing my notes, and it helps me to learn and remember.”
New boss: “Let me show you something I did in CoPilot.”
Ugh. Writing it myself helps me LEARN and REMEMBER. Why are these AI zombies so intent on changing a process that is helpful to me? Feeding notes through CoPilot won’t benefit me when it’s the act of writing that works for me.

Alex Davis nails it again. Go CHSR!
Btw..
If Threads is also gonna add "AI users" or bots as we call them and they will also federate, Threads will be added to the blocklist
