Слава Україні 🇺🇦

Going to do a bit of account migrating today.

Did you know that the European Union had an official Mastodon instance where only official EU institutions could open an account?

No need to pay for a blue checkmark, accounts on this instance are, by definition, officials.

That’s Fediverse done right!

Mastodon hosted on social.network.europa.eu
199,430 is the number of new users across different Mastodon servers since October 27, along with 437 new servers. This bring last day's total to 608,837 active users, which is without precedent the highest it's ever been for Mastodon and the fediverse.

Something very exciting cooking at Snapp Automotive.

Looks like mastodon.social has gotten some much needed boost. Everything is fast and pleasant again.
I hope it is not because people dropped out.
This is a good new(?) feature, GMail. Thanks.
I did have time but didn't want to.
To give this a bit context, I still miss the indepth, friendly and knowledgeable discussions of G+. At the same time I know it was a network only for quite limited crowd. Niche. A social network for Android developers. I'd like to have that back. Discussions without marketing and politics.

Mastodon has a very good chance of becoming the next G+ but only a very small change of becoming the new twitter. I think.

The servers just need to recover very quickly before people give up. We're talking about tens of hours, not days until the opportunity passes.

The unfortunate state of this Mastodon instance at the moment. I feel for the people maintaining and building this stuff.
