@dade I feel this. It's been hard to kick the junk food - Twit has far more shitposts I like to chuckle at, artwork, local and national news, etc. I think it's okay to grieve that loss of a "critical mass" space, and also reevaluate how we form communities outside of it. But the come-down is a bitch.
Pals who have opinions on this sort of thing: should I be looking to migrate instances away from The Big One in light of FB looming over Fedi stuff, or is it too soon to say for sure?
Two friends pinged me to talk coffee/brewing gear opinions today and it honestly gets me so HYPED. I'm faaaar from the most knowledgeable person but I'm always down to talk beans/gear/technique/etc.
Still wondering if I can pivot my career towards the industry someday. "Open a cafe" sounds dreamy but I know it's a ton of work (and there's so many great ones out here already!)
"I look better on Zoom than I do on Teams" was an actual thought that crossed my mind this morning, and I think I need to go lay in a sunny field as penance.
