@LexYeen In these days of bonkers porn crackdowns with people at conventions unaware of the law as it stands in their current jurisdiction because these laws are draconian and opaque by design, having cops in attendance, on or off duty, is a disaster waiting to happen. Vulnerable communities neither want, nor need people among them that cannot be trusted to just let things slide, even if they make the right noises and wear pins. The past decade of performative 'allies' have demonstrated those pins can be discarded quicker than you can say 'rainbow washing'.

It's only a matter of time before americans start seeing ICE sniffing around the community and conventions, they don't need people who will hold open the door to let them in.
