If you're an #VTuber who thinks that you're in fediverse would get an engagement, you're wrong. Algorithms don't exist on federated social networks like Mastodon or any platform that is connected to ActivityPub. So, feel free to build your own freedom at fediverse and make a social relationship with everyone you love.

You don't need to make a fanbase which you might not care about, but you made the relationship with them as a people. If you're still on X and you want to move into the fediverse, feel free to ask anybody who already moves and learn a new thing. Xodus.online and LeaveX might help you to learn why you should leave X for good.

If you can't leave, then you can make a new account for research purposes on X and don't use it as personal notes (but if you want to be more affordable, Bluesky is a starter one that you could bring).

Turns out German farmers grew too much potatoes last year, so now all the extra potatoes have to be consumed (the alternative is just burning them for biodiesel).

The video game industry has been replacing in-house labor with outsourcing, and then outsourcing with AI-workflow for the past decade.

To me this has ALWAYS been to the detriment of game quality. The team are clearly losing knowledge and processes in these replacement, and when game shipped broken, it is NEVER because devs are lazy.

It is OFTEN because the team are inexperienced and the only way to ship in time are through crunch.

With Larian being under crossfire for confirming that they use GenAI in their creative process, I think there is a conversation to be had about what even constitutes as ethical, sustainable practices in (Triple A) GameDev and how much the consumer should tolerate.

Even if we take away how bad GenAI is for the creative job market and the environment, there are multiple other factors which should turn someone off from playing modern games like bad work environments (crunch & harassment) or Outsourcing to other companies with even worse worker rights' violations (e.g. the Brandoville Studio case).

There is no winning here in how big the scale and expectations have become. There is no moral highground to take anymore outside of not engaging with the industry at all. At this point, keep your game darlings close to your heart and separate the work from the author, or whatever you can still do to bear the pain.

Thank god the sea of games is vast, so there is a lot of choice to be had outside of any dystopian implications on how a game was made. It's something which keeps me somewhat sane still
