Works in InfoSec, engages in community organizing, could use some Tom Yum soup right about now.

If you’re outside the US and looking at our election in abject horror, one legit thing you can do is talk to any American friends in election swing states and make sure they checked they haven’t been purged from voter registration and intend to vote. It’s their votes that really count much more than say, mine. Republican donors have made a huge financial push to only register a certain angry, fascist demographic there. I know it sounds crazy, but that’s what we are dealing with. Remember that our popular vote means little. It’s specific locations where votes mean more. Georgia is a huge one. Pennsylvania.
Why I have -nine- apps in my phone’s “EV charging” folder, chapter 16. Will be interesting to see if the new standard takes hold… https://infosec.exchange/@hacks4pancakes/112265083923901536

As someone living in the Boston area, I applaud @TechConnectify as he looks out for our safety when playing throw-knives-at-the-wall.

You need to stop using Chrome NOW. It’s not hyperbole: Google just rolled out a change to Chrome that tracks the sites you visit, builds a profile, and shares that with any page you visit that asks.

This is real. It’s not tech bro conspiracy shit.

Google gets its way, bakes a user-tracking ad platform directly into Chrome

Chrome now directly tracks users, generates a “topic” list it shares with advertisers.

I can’t confirm this, but I see legitimate confirmations from reputable organizations?

Very sorry for Kevin’s family and friends if so.

HOW TO SPOT A RIP CURRENT:

IT'S WHERE THE WATER LOOKS EASIEST AND SAFEST, with no waves breaking or rolling in.

NEVER ENTER THE SEA HERE.

If you get caught in a rip, DON'T FIGHT IT. You can't swim back to shore against it; you will become exhausted and drown.

Instead, SWIM ACROSS IT, parallel to shore. You'll soon be out of the current and can then easily swim back.

Boost, please, and make sure your friends and family know this when they hit the beach.

I’ve said it before, but I need to say again that I take it personally when community conferences choose a fun or familiar location over one that is safe for their LGBTQIA+ and even women attendees at a time of historic, concerted legislative and criminal attacks against us. It tells me absolutely all I need to know about your leadership and care for the diverse cybersecurity community. There are plenty of affordable venues in places that aren’t banning emergency healthcare and harassing people for using the bathroom.
