You've done your work life, you're no longer contributing anything of value to society, how about we get rid of your drain on the NHS?".

@Kestenan no worries! If there's no power at all ,it's usually the PSU. If there's no display or beeps, RAM or CPU usually need reseating. If it makes beeps, it can leD you to the problem.

@Kestenan ok, so if your keyboard and mouse are lighting up, your PSU is fine. No display at all and no beeps suggests a potential major problem but not necessarily. First thing to try is to reseat your RAM sticks. If that fails, then it's reseat your CPU. If neither of those fixes the problem then it's almost certain that your mobo has died.
