Irish queer in Aotearoa.
A couple of years since I left the #punk scene in the city to try this #off-grid #solarpunk shit in the middle of nowhere while also learning this #parenting lark.

Trying to learn new (to me, but actually very old) skills and figure out how to live my best dynamic equilibrium with this harsh environment.

#MentalHealth and #EDS have huge and constant impacts on my life that I'll likely post about.

Despite only learning it in school, and living on the other side of the world, I am trying to bring my kiddo up with #gaeilge - the Irish language. I'll hashtag my posts in Irish with the word Gaeilge if you wana filter that out.

I'm not gonna swear AT you, but there will likely be swearing in a shit-tonne of my posts.

I'm on a bus with a 3 year old, for whom I bought new colouring pencils and a notebook for the journey.

BUT THERES A CODE TO OPEN THE NOTEBOOK.

I threw away the plastic covering and potential instructions before we left the house!

Had a real fun time going shopping ahead of our trip south to the world cup next week. Was able to be flaithiúileach (generous, sounds kiiinda like flah-hOO-loch) with kiddo (in the dollarshops), and indulge a bit. She loves keeping stuff in bags and wee boxes, so told her she could pick any tin.

She did.

No, I had to say. Not that one. I'm not buying you that one. Pick another.

I mean, I want to read this, but who the fuck made the formatting decisions here?

You get half the "message" on the page before the other half loads, then you have to scroll the next message all the way up the page. Like a conversation but it doesn't seem to allow 3 on the page at once.

What's wrong with just sticking it all in place FFS?

Here's the picture.
It seems like a combination of the grass being green because of the nutrients from the sheep, and the other grazers (rabbits, wallabies, sheep) keeping a taboo distance from the death.

I was ecstatic when I got 5x tiny wire brushes for cleaning my grinder. Unsurprised when I lost most of them in a hot minute, but I got pretty careful with the last 2.

Then, I discovered flouridated toothpaste minus the #animalTesting and decided to go all in 2x tubs of #Solid (brand) #toothpaste with a lovely stainless steel scooper thrown in (plus, fixed rate postage 😍 #rural ).

Kiddo and her dad instantly fell in love with and coveted the scooper. But nope. Is liomsa é. Mine.

Toothpaste says a pea sized amount, but like, the scooper's the size of my thumb.

HOWEVER! The scooper that came with my vape is perfect for the toothpaste!

And kiddos dad saw me fumbling with duct tape and made the most perfect tool. I overcomplicate things, yes. But I'm a simple creature at heart.

Now the tiny lose-able thing is attached to the thing I use every single time I have a sesh! So. Happy 😁
