I knew when the AI track was announced for PyCon it'd be bad, but I'm still really dismayed at how *many* PyCon talks are just.... slop.

Python is not uniquely under attack, I don't believe, and I don't envy the PSF for being caught between vanishing government sponsorship and strings-attached corporate sponsorship. That said, the end state of affairs is that Python isn't really being defended from AI, and it sucks.

Men, unless you stop equating your masculinity with domination, we will never end patriarchy, no matter how much of an #ally you say you are.

I know that's essentially just the definition of #patriarchy, but goddamn I feel like it needs repeating endlessly.
