Before my departure for another month, we went to Ama Lachei in Exarcheia in #athens. The #food there is consistently good, they have nice tap wine, and the space is beautiful. It’s located in an old school. It is a great start for bar hopping in Exarcheia. Also, it is a huge place.

https://www.dineathens.gr/ booking no2. Matsuhisa on the peninsula of Vouliagmeni, #athens. The #food was very good, but it would have been unaffordable without the offer. The wines start at 100€ per bottle, so we stuck to water (10€ per bottle, but in fact they just walk around with water and estimate how much you had). The wine pairing gives you 6 half-glasses for 45€.
But the food is amazing for the price, and Dineathens is absolutely worth it. The bill needed to be corrected at the end.

Quick #food at Aschimopapo (The Ugly Duckling), a local taverna in Ano Petralona, #athens. Inexpensive, super traditional, but good! 1/2kg wine 5€!

After a random evening walk in Kalithea we went to a kebab house with “Politiki” food, i.e. food refugees brought over from Constantinople. This is a culturally sensitive subject - it’s very traditional Greek food, with some flavours that are also found in Turkish food (however, never say it tastes like Turkish food!!!). This is food full of history as well as flavour. And there is pork.

At Lolos in Koukaki for #food. There are some posters advertising the „fetaverse“ - I think this should be a hashtag for Greek food on here! I don’t know what it is, but let’s use it.

After shopping we tried a new #restaurant in the city centre of #athens. ATHeRee has small portions tapas style, and all dishes were good, but small and OK priced - we are in the centre after all. It is in an old house entrance with the old staircase above the restaurant. Overall, if you are not super hungry, and are looking for some nice #food in the centre of Athens, this is a good choice.
