@sindarina yessss!! God, I've had to correct so much text that will be like "scenario: A child comes to you and complains that his/her stomach hurts. He/she is sweating and feels feverish to touch, so you send him/her to the office where they call his/her parents", like come on, just try reading that aloud, it's so clumsy, use a fucking "they" instead
@liroyleshed love the way that for years, so many companies have given lip service to work life balance and mental health and wellbeing, they would have little office events or email top 10 tips for mental wellbeing, give out stickers on RUOK day, have someone talk about it at PD days. And now that there's real and effective demonstration of something enhancing work life balance, there's so many calling to undo it.
@jasonwilson my team produce online learning resources for training and vocational education, but we often receive the written content from TAFE teachers and subject matter experts. While we've had to knock back plenty of plagiarised work in the past, we're now trying to navigate AI created content as well, from the copyright angle but also concerns whether the info is current enough, reliable enough, relevant to specific Australian legislation, standards and best practices, etc. Don't want our Nursing students killing anyone or a fatal accident in a construction site because our info wasn't right.
@chloetse I'm tending towards one of the outwardly nice guys. Unfortunately Ray is on that list of suspects, though I hope not. Would have said Mike because of the way he defends Tammy, except that he's already been suspected and dismissed. The mayor's partner (Gaz?) hasn't been suspected yet, being partnered with "Doctor Mayor", having access to her passwords, he might have ways to find out who has been assaulted. Sven feels like a long shot even though he has access to police records and scuba dives.
The other one that has been hinted at is Margaret Carrathers' (dead?) brother who looks so much like her in the portrait (enough to pass as Margaret in drag?) But given how twisty this show is, those hints might be a red herring. Plus given the current attitudes towards drag and trans people, I don't think that the Kates would write that villain (hope not).
Actually now that I think further, her brother might be alive and living on the island and she's protecting him
@chloetse I see your point, but he also seems too self absorbed to even notice which women are being assaulted. Like he hasn't even noticed that Abby broke up with him.
@chloetse after seeing episode 7, only reason I think not is that he wouldn't care enough to avenge women. Whoever's doing it is sort of sympathetic to them, just in a vigilante kind of way.
My nephew is going to be turning 1 in a couple of months, and it's sent me down memory lane about my favourite picture books from my own childhood. But there's one I can't for the life of me remember the title, and it involved a kelpie-like dog name starting M (Maggie? Matilda?) Chasing a rooster? Anyone else happen to remember the title? I've already tried googling. Possibly Aussie, just going off what I remember of the pictures.

@Winter I get the impression it might be different between those two. For Musk maybe he just thinks he's above it all and none of it really affects him. Fascism is as much a toy to him as anything else, and it gets him attention and a following, validation a sense of superiority. It's the antithesis of any kind of social and community progression, which is a threat to his position, especially in terms of workers rights. It aggravates progressives. It comes with a following with not a lot of critical thinking, so they don't question his word so much and he can set himself up as their role model or leader. He doesn't have to fight for any power in any serious way, he's used to having it in the form of money. He doesn't consider that a fascist regime might possibly choose to take it all from him if they wanted.

I think Ye on the other hand is a true believer of the conspiracies first, and the fascism is of secondary importance to him. It's a means to stamp out the conspiracy for him, and I think he's past caring about his old followers, because he can't possibly be wrong in this, they must be.

@jasonpettus unfortunately that also means it's more profitable to sell our personal data. In which case, may as well confuse that with the weird questions from kids and requests for animal fart noises I've seen mentioned in these replies
@OmarjSakr "but what if we pumped MORE unbreathable crap into the air?"
