The increase in Australia’s inflation rate (CPI) for the month of November was 0.0% (0.3% seasonally adjusted). All mainstream media reported the annual rate based on the preceding 12 months was 3.4%. None mentioned the monthly figure, which annualised was 0.0%. None of their economists that I could find predicted this decline. Instead they continued the push for an interest rate increase . Who benefits from this sloppy work?
