I can no longer log into Twitter/X and everybody' from 15 years has gone. I don't know if it's permanent but 4 hours is long enough to terrify me.

My cat died 6 weeks ago, put to sleep because she had cancer. She wasn't old. I knew she was everything to me, but not that she was in every part of my life - sleeping, waking, cooking, eating, shopping, the weather, conversation (she was a talkative little tortie), touch, everything. The love of my life. I didn't know it was possible to be this lonely.

In the old days of Twitter, I had about 20 followers, went to make a cup of tea, and came back to about 170. Somebody a bit famous had given me a follow recommendation. Still one of the most exciting moments of my life 🤣

I'm having a nice glass of Viognier. It's only 5am in the non-covid world, but I woke up at 3 in the afternoon, so in my covidy little enclave it's a perfectly civilised 10pm 😑🍷 (Yes, I know Viognier's not red, but it's the middle of the night. Or not).
