Today at work I was looking up how to help a lady with her iPhone and she said, "You look like a geek; you must love AI." It took every last ounce of my restraint not to tell her that I'd never been so personally offended in all my life.
If you'd offered me money to hum the theme song to Matlock for you I wouldn't have been able to remember it. And yet here, somehow, it is, stuck in my head.

OK, after a weekend of cleaning my apartment is officially presentable ENOUGH for the maintenance guys to come by and fix my lights. I sure hope this experience is relatable and not a deeply worrying red flag.

I was raised in a household where abortion was the biggest possible sin. I was progressive over all, even when I was still pretty religious, but abortion was a wedge issue. What started changing my mind was the realization of who was actually getting late term and partial birth abortions. Seeing beyond the idea of abortion, to the people who actually needed them, was fundamental to my understanding of it.

If I'm being honest, it's pretty embarrassing how often I feed myself by throwing some cheese in a tortilla and shoving it in the microwave, considering that the distinction between that and a genuinely delicious quesadilla is pretty much just waiting for a pan to preheat.
